Welcome to Package Ratz!

This page is your view of the inside of Package Ratz Rattery and Rescue.

This is the new boy setup. Robin's nest now includes a summer cottage.

Presently, Package Ratz is home to six resident boys. They are very social and enjoy each other's company.

Robin's Nest is named such for the Magnum PI theme of my founding ratties. I was on a Magnum kick (I only had K-Doc on TV).

The boys get out each day to play on their table and around their cage. The summer cottage is where my fat boys are working on their diet.

This is the Mount.

The Mount is a combination of girl's cage (Downey House) and nursery cages. The Mount in history is the name of the birthplace of Charles Darwin in Shrewsbury. Downey House is the name of his later residence with his wife and family.

All the girls live in a colony and get to know each other from the start. Once the nursing mommies are comfortable, they usually invite the other girls to visit their babies. This colony living style is beneficial for the socialization of all the kids. It is fun to watch one mom nursing the other mom's babies. Though I guarantee, they will steal food from each other with no remorse.

There are presently several girls living on the Mount. Six of these are my older resident girls.

The new and improved Downey House was a Holiday gift from my friend, Hilloah, of Ratz Realm. The girls say, "Thank You, Hilloah!!!!!".
